So a little while ago, actually, in all honesty, I think it was a couple of months ago, I went for lunch to this little place called “Not Just Desserts.” And, because of the name or not, I decided to get a date square with my club sandwhich. Now, honestly, I was a little surprised when it came in this:

Now I found that pretty amusing to begin with, eating a date square out of a Patty King bag. And then I realized that, somewhere in Canada, they put hamburger patties in these! In a nice, ready-to-go, single serving portion. Further investigation revealed that there’s a pastry surrounding the beef patty, truly an Ontario delicacy. Much like the Nova Scotian donair or the Newfoundland detox diet of Fish and Chips.

I’ve since taped it onto my office wall (without the date square of course).
