lesson not learned

September 19th, 2007

So among my many activities last night, I made muffins for various breakfasts throughout the week. And, yet again, changed the recipe part way through. I now have the very exciting combination of bran muffins with raisins and cinnamon. Apparently, they’re called Raisin Bran muffins.

A couple of days ago Fiona (who is now in Toronto for some fancy book-lernin’) sent me a message about her Alpha-Getti incident. She inadvertantly made a mess on the counter and her new white sweater (though I’m assured the counter is fine) and some of the precious Alpha-Getti ended up going down the drain.

Which isn’t really all that remarkable in itself, but it got me thinking. If Toronto is anything like Halifax, the drainage would eventually end up in the Great Lakes, and from there to the Atlantic Ocean via the Gulf of St. Lawrence. But wait, I’m on the Atlantic Ocean! It must be Alpha-Getti mail.

In an effort to be nice and social, I composed a reply:

  1. Also just back from Toronto, and another year older, I have learned that what ever you have to add to a receipe is just what the receipe needed to make the receipe a hit.
