well, have you?
January 30th, 2008missing in neglect
January 30th, 2008So, I’m pretty sure I’ve lost a camera. I’m also pretty sure I have no idea where it is. The last time I remember using it was at a burlesque show in Halifax. That was upwards of two years ago I believe. It is one of the cheap plastic cameras (the lomo with the funky [...]

January 23rd, 2008Apparently, I’m living in some sort of frozen wasteland. But a pretty one.
Herman is even bigger now with a fresh batch of snow received this morning. Jena called me in the morning to tell me to hold off on heading into the office until she knew she could make it in. Later on in [...]
Important Herman Update
January 22nd, 2008Just look at him, in all his snowy glory. Bigger than ever with a fresh batch of snow from a storm on Sunday. It’s now Tuesday and he still remains untouched and unbothered. Who needs sidewalks anyway? Not Newfoundlanders apparently.
As for me, I’m fine. Got a bit of a cold, but it’s being drowned in [...]
Show me your skills.
January 18th, 2008Last night sometime James made a comment on my last point. Later on, I had an idea.
This idea had nothing to do with this post, so forget it.
But the next idea, that was golden.
I want you, the gentle reader, to photograph odd things in the snow, e-mail it to me (it’s on the profile page) [...]
strange
January 15th, 2008Now, I do expect to find some things buried in the snow after a bit of a thaw. A missing glove perhaps. Dirt usually. Bottles aren’t that uncommon.
But I was a little surprised at the shopping cart at the end of my street. Perhaps it’s a refugee, freed from the tyranny of the grocery store [...]
Snow Watch – Day Something or Other +6
January 14th, 2008So, a couple of days ago, something terrible happened. Dreadful really.
Poor Herman got a lobotomy.
He is, quite clearly, missing a large part of himself. Which is too bad. He’ll never make it to George Street now.
The first person to mention snowbotomy has no soul. Which would now be me and explains a lot.

Snow Watch – Day Something or Other
January 8th, 2008Snow!
I’ve come to realize, as my driving instructor advised me, that St. John’s doesn’t really get all that much more snow, it’s just poorly managed. Very poorly. This is snow from Christmas that they still haven’t cleaned up. Extra insulation for me I guess.
I’m secretly waiting for it to turn into a glacier and begin [...]
bathroom silliness
January 7th, 2008This weekend featured the usual marathon that is the Celtic Heritage magazine, complete with a small redesign from three columns per page to two columns. It worked so well, and I felt the need to socialize after it’s completion that I headed down to the Grapevine for a quick pint on Sunday night. The first [...]
Read More →the trip home
January 2nd, 2008For those wondering, or, well, reading this, I did make it home safe and sound — I’ll try not to bore anyone with the details.
Still with me? Good.
Most of the day (my flight not leaving until 16:55) was spent doing laundry, packing and eating with Judy checking the flights every hour or so. The bulk [...]
