odds and ends

February 23rd, 2008

So there’s been a lot of little things in the past couple of days and I thought I’d cover them all briefly while I sit around while a new storm winds its way through St. John’s. We’re expected to get upwards of 30 cm, which is great, because Herman needs it.

Just look at him after the last rain storm a couple of days ago. Just a bare shadow of his former self.

It was also on this day that I remembered my street has a sidewalk. After walking on the street itself for most of the winter, it felt strange to be in the safety of the pedestrian specific area. Though it took me half the street to realize I could walk there.

It’s gone now. Swallowed up in another flurry of snow.

Also as a result of the temperate weather and rain storm, the abandoned shopping cart has once again made an appearance. It is also gone now.

A couple of days ago the faucet made it’s attack, but with poor aim. It hit my noggin, but didn’t leave a mark.

The medicine cabinet door tried to finish me off the follow days. Maybe my apartment is mad at my defection. It’s the only logical explanation. Honest.

Friday morning at work was positively crazy. Not with work mind you, just shenanigans. I’m not really sure what they put in the rum here, but everyone was, well, crazy. I loved it.

It’s Saturday, the wind is still howling and I’ve got oreo’s to eat.

  1. Dude, your profile pic looks like Adam’s Family…which is exactly what you were shooting for. Well done.
