must nap

March 22nd, 2008

So I hear that Spring is upon us. It’s easter weekend and the sun is shining. I’m also very full on turkey dinner (my first!).

Oh, and Newfoundland is still digging itself out from several heavy snowfalls. Which is pretty typical for early Spring here.

This is the gas station just around the corner from me and even with it’s small little lot, the snow is pretty high.

Don’t even get me started on the sidewalks on my street. Or walking in Stavanger (think Bayers Lake in Halifax with less sidewalks) today. Though I did try to walk on the snow in Stavanger, but that only worked until I sunk to my hips.

And, of course, Herman is big and healthy again.

I’m off to nap and wait for the turkey to wear off.

  1. Walking in stavanger is brutal! I always get a cab now whenever I can afford it. Feeling the cars and trucks wizz by you and that possibility of getting splashed can give you more butterflies in your stomach than a rollercoaster.

  2. I really think they design it to make walking as improbable as possible.
