This Irina Ginsburg from Russia is most definitely a love-money scammer. She scammed a naive friend of mine of thousands of dollars. Her first money request was made using a duplicate letter of the one you received (above) asking for $212 for a fake operation. The next request was for a thousand and something dollars. As it turns out, “she” might actually be a “he”. I’m sure he/she uses other names to perform his/her love-money scams. In any case, bad English and money desperation are definitive clues one should take note of when getting involved in foreign affairs.
